A brief history
Colorado School of English was founded over ten years ago.The school began offering classes in January, 1994. By 1998, CSE was nationally accredited by ACCET in Washington D.C.
About the Faculty and Administration
CSE hires only those teachers who have the experience, ability, knowledge, and desire to present interesting and dynamic lessons. Even homework is interesting, often incorporating communication projects. Teachers use a variety of fascinating techniques designed to develop the student’s ability to communicate, write and speak in English.
Our administrators are always available to assist you with your needs - from finding the right bus - to advancing to the next class level - to applying for college. The Director can design programs for special groups - including tourist groups and English courses for specific professions.

Colorado School of English strives to meet the individual needs of each and every student. With our emphasis on conversation and self-expression, you will develop confidence and actually enjoy learning English. Our classes are accelerated, and you may move to the next level as soon as you are ready; it's not necessary to wait until the beginning of a new term. Our friendly staff and teachers are always available to assist you and help make the most of your experience at CSE.
About the Students
CSE has more diversity in its student body than any other Intensive English Program in Colorado. Students range in age from 18 year olds preparing to enter college or university classes to 60 year old executives who are preparing for an important presentation or a new career challenge. CSE also has more diversity in ethnic background than any other Intensive English Program in Colorado. In our class, it’s not unusual to have 9 or 10 different countries represented. Our students make global connections and graduate CSE with a proficiency in English and with many friends from around the world.
About Denver & Colorado
CSE has a fantastic location in the heart of downtown Denver. Our address is: 331 14th Street, 3rd Floor, Denver, Colorado 80202. Located 2 short blocks off the 16th Street Mall between Court Place and Tremont Place. The school is surrounded by hotels, restaurants, and shopping. The exciting 16th Street Mall is just around the corner. The Denver Art Museum, the Colorado History Museum, the U.S. Mint, and the Colorado State Capitol Building are within a few blocks. Public transportation is very accessible. Denver is a medium sized city which is safe, clean, and friendly. It’s international airport and central location make it an important meeting place for conventions and conferences. Denver has the second largest performing arts complex in the U.S. located just 3 blocks from CSE. You can find anything you want in Denver from international markets to international films. Denver is also home to national sports teams in baseball, soccer, basketball, hockey, lacrosse, and American football.
About an hour’s drive away are the Rocky Mountains and many world famous resorts (such as Aspen and Vail) where students can enjoy skiing, snow boarding, and snowmobiling in the winter and hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, white water rafting, golf, and rock climbing in the summer.
