CSE teaching strategy for all classes: Teachers use a communicative approach and employ visual, auditory, physical, and written activities. Classes are dynamic, intensive, and interesting.

LEVELS: All students are tested for their English proficiency and placed in the proper level for each class.

Standardized Testing Services

Colorado School of English schedules TOEIC and MELAB tests for students as needed. Registration assistance is provided for students who want to take the computer-based TOEFL

MELAB - Michigan English Language Assessment Battery
This test requires 5 interested students. The test is scheduled at CSE as needed and is accepted by many colleges in place of the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language).

TOEIC - The Test of English for International Communication
This is a business-based English language test accepted by Japanese and other Asian countries as well as the European airline industry as authentication of English language abilities for work purposes. This test is scheduled as needed as CSE for 5 or more students.

TOEFL - The Test of English as a Foreign Language
This test is accepted by most American universities as a requirement for entrace. CSE provides assistance to students in registering for this computer-based tests offered in two Denver metro area testing centers.
