CSE's University Preparation Class Minimize

CSE's University Preparation class is an intensive 10-week course designed to help transition students from studying at an ESL school to an American college or university. Students in this class learn and develop specific skills they will need to be successful in the American higher education system, such as reading and note-taking skills, working in groups, researching/writing essays and research papers, giving presentations, and being an active participant in seminars.

Performance Objectives:
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
·         Work in groups
·         Read and summarize college-level material
·         Take relevant notes on college readings and lectures
·         Draft and write essays and a research paper using APA (or similar) style
·         Use common IT tools, such as word and e-mail, for university study
·         Give an individual and a group presentation
