TESL/TEFL Certificate
Teaching English as a Second/Foreign Language
4 week intensive
English is the global language of communication and business. Certified ESL/EFL professionals are in high demand and a TESL/TEFL Certificate from an accredited and respected institution is your ticket to an exciting career teaching abroad or in the US. CSE’s established TESL/TEFL certificate program is nationally accredited and recognized by institutions and schools worldwide.

“My certificate was very helpful to me. The private school in South Korea wouldn’t have looked at me otherwise. Also, I’m making $700 dollars more this year, just because of this certificate.”          N. Long

You will graduate with the skills and resources you need to be successful in any type of ESL/EFL situation. You’ll learn to present dynamic lessons using the latest methodologies and techniques, with the confidence and ability to teach students of any nationality.

“…Finished my year teaching in Barquisimeto, Venezuela. I will teach again, and I know I can take on any ESL opportunity because of the knowledge and experience I gained with your TESL/TEFL certificate.”        M. Dakunchak

TESL/TEFL 140 hour Certificate Course Program Design:

  • 100 contact hours of guaranteed classroom instruction and training with our highly qualified and experienced teacher trainers. This exceeds the instructional hours recommended by TESOL, the leading worldwide professional organization for ESL professionals, because you spend 100% of your time in the classroom either training or teaching, rather than 57% training and less than 4% teaching, as in many other programs.
  • 5 hours of live, classroom observation of our Intensive English courses, taught by CSE’s experienced, professional teachers, as opposed to 1 or 2 hours or prerecorded sessions.
  • 10 hours minimum of supervised practice teaching with your own class. You will not share your teaching time with another teacher or be a teaching assistant. All your teaching will be with real English as a Second/Foreign Language learners and not peer teaching.
  • 6 hours or more of optional supervised practice teaching. CSE is unique in that we offer you the opportunity to extend your practice teaching. With more hours of practical training and real teaching, you’ll be more competitive with potential employers.
  • 5 hours minimum of trainer observation and feedback of your practice teaching classes. Feedback sessions will be customized to your individual teaching needs. During consultations with your professional trainer you will learn how to refine your teaching and have the opportunity to gain insightful and useful teaching tips from their many years of experience.
  • 14 hours of individual lesson preparation.  CSE has an extensive library of teacher resources that you will have full access to for lesson planning.  You will have access to CSE's online and computer resources as well, and be encouraged to encorporate C.A.L.L.
